Last week, New York Magazine included I Love Charts: The Book in its Approval Matrix. Naturally, we were thrilled. That is, of course, until we saw what company we kept.
Paul Simon, Eastbound and Down, sure, sure there were some people with whom we were fine sharing the “Brilliant and Lowbrow” quadrant. But, frozen-drink season? Frozen-drink season?! As more highbrown than us?! Well, we decided to show New York Magazine a thing or two about “highbrow” with a strongly worded art house film.

This is equal parts my favorite thing I’ve done in a long time and destined to be liked by absolutely nobody else. I think that’s art.
